Thread: Google Sync quit working - any ideas?

I don't know if its related to running the .113/.114 hybrid. I know that sync was working the day installed the hybrid, but the next day I realized it wasn't auto-sync'ing my calendar, so I did a manual sync and got this message;

sync failed
Please try again later. if the problem persists try signing out of sync and signing back in again.


I have signed out and back in - I have deleted google sync and re-installed it, I have reset my google password - I have tried everything I can think of and I still get the error message.

Anyone else run into this or have any ideas?

try resending your service books, i had to do this twice since installing the hybrid.

I'm somewhat tech savvy, but still a blackberry n00b - I know I found it once before but can't seem to remember where. So........How do I do that, again?

options/advanced options/host routing table

then press the BBkey and click register now from the menu.

OR

Over the Web, If you don't already have access to this way, just call your provider and they will set you up in a minute. You give them the email you want to use, and they give you a temp password you will change once you login.

Tried it - still no go.

I also checked the application permissions and everything is set to "allow"

Unfortunately, I have had issues with programs that I have had to uninstall and reinstall.

If you do this, make sure you do it through your applications; DO NOT just delete the icon off your device. the following will take care of that for you.

options/adv. options/applications/highlight Google sync/BBkey/delete

I would pull the battery, then reinstall, then pull the battery.

I was having the same problem but it came down to me removing it from my storm because it would hardly ever work for some reason...

Wish it did work though I love knowing my contacts were backed up LOL
