Thread: People Cant Hear Me on a phone call!!!!

Hey I have ran the gammit of os upgrades, and through all of them I have had a consistant problem. People cant hear me well. No matter what I do everyone says i sound muffled and like I am mumbling...what should I do does anyone have any ideas thanks!!!!?

I believe that was one of the issues with 114.

Upgrade to the V6 OS...or v4,5.

6 is the latest one.

I have been using 141 and am currently updating to 148 v 6????? hope that fixes it, but like I said I have been off 114 for a while.

Ok, I saw 114 in your stats above...try v6 and report back here.

Hopefully that will do the trick

I think it's hardware. I had one storm do that and no OS can help it. I would say exchange it.

Have you ruled out a defective microphone on your storm? Try making a call with your headset/mike instead of the phone's built-in mike. If you can be heard clearly, it would pretty much point a finger at your device's built in microphone. Good luck.

Toy's suggestion is a great one. If you still have issues that you know it's hardware related.

It actually sounds like a problem with the mic its self. I would say reload .75 and if u still have the problem take it in amd request for a replacement. I have had a few friends that have had the problem after upgrading and even on .75 it would not come back. So try it and if it don't work just take it back. Hope this helps

I had the same problem. People complained they could not hear me and my voice was muffled. It is a problem with the noise cancellation software on some Storms. The software thinks your voice is background noise. I called Verizon and they are sending a replacement.
