the only measurement is what you notice.

For example, if you have a full charge at 8:00am, and at 9:00am you have half a charge then you have a pretty significant leak.

IMO if you can last a full work day or more without charging then your in good shape.

Any worse than that, then start looking at what 3rd-party apps you have installed.

You can experiment with the programs by installing them one at a time and checking out your battery level periodically through the day.

Another way is to remove all your 3rd. party apps add them back on one at a time and monitor you're memory every couple hours, i found on mine even with all the people wining about how bad weatherbug is it wasnt my problem mine was a bad theme that was constantly running off the app memory and it couldnt dump quick enough, i still have fluxuating memory issues but with a quickpull in the middle of the day i dont see it go under 10mb and i dont have a clock or transition issue.

I think it is very possible, only way to be sure is to take it out and monitor the device throughout the day.

Seriously answering, yes, themes depending how they were put together could cause a serious draw on mem allocation.

My reccommendation if you want to continue using themes, which I do, is the obligitory batt pull, or soft reset app periodically. Seems to work for me.

    New guy alert

I've been reading and watching, now I have a question. I am a fairly technical guy but not as far as BB programming goes. What causes " memory leakage"? Just curious.

    Welcome to BlackBerryOS dmcshanog!!!
Simplified, improper termination of programs, processes allowed to remain active in the background, memory allocation management by the OS. Some OS's managed this better than others. Which is one of the many reasons people opted to use prior releases. The Hybrid v1 improved many of the operating deficiencies of .114. The Hybrid v2 is designed to address the issues that remain.

When you talk about memory leak, are you looking in options/memory/ application free memory space? What makes the memory space decline during the day?

all of the things mentioned above, for example:

If you hold your bbkey down for 2 seconds you will see all the programs running in the background.
some you cannot close but others you can. anything you put on the phone after the original install, just be sure to close them with the bb key each time you are done
