Thread: How many Storms have u gotten replaced?

i'm still on my first one, been running strong since early december. assembled in mexico, for what that's worth; i know where it comes from has some impact on hardware life/performance. Aside from a little dust under the screen (only within the past month or two), it's been great, even through all the bumps and drops i've put it through (dropped it off the back of a pickup truck, etc.).

i knew what i was getting into, buying a first gen device, and while annoying/frustrating at times, i can still say i've enjoyed the ride, being addicted to checking for updates and hybrids. that being said, i still can't wait for storm 2.

I am still on my first one and it has been running great even with all the leaks and hybrids I have been installing on it; except, I dropped it this morning. Now the screen is tough to press on some of the edges, so I might be getting a refurb using the Tech Insurance. We'll see how long I can handle the screen.

Same as the last few posters. I have been on the same unit since November 23rd. No huge issues or problems really. The OS makes such a large difference though, 191 proved this to me.

on my first since release. i have dropped it plenty of time so she a bit beat up, but work great still. running 8.5 and using opera 5 it finaly works like i thought it would very pleased.

My fifth one finally worked properly.

Im on my third since May
1st one headphone issues
2nd one dropped the poor thing one too many times and cracked the screen.
Picked up #3 a couple of days ago!

Overall I am happy with it. There are definitely some bugs to be worked out but works great for what my needs are.

I am still on my first storm. I did have the clicking problem but I fixed it using the torx adjustment. While I should not have needed to make that adjustment I would much rather have done that than to have the phone replaced with one that might have had more problems.

WOW!!! that is a lot of problems... I do know that the majority of replacements are done for OS issues which means there wasnt anything wrong with the phone the person just didnt manage the memory or run any of these AWESOME Hybrids...

I am on my 4th storm
1st NEW didnt like the screen click so much and it was before I knew about the fixes avail
2nd new awesome screen but then I cracked the screen.
3rd refurb worked awesome in every area but then I cracked the screen
4th and current... I checked a whole box of refurbs and didnt really like the way a SINGLE one of them clicked... GEEZE so I adjusted the screw under the water sticker one full half turn counter clockwise and AWSOME the clicking is so friggin fast.

I think a lot of people are wasting there time returning the storms... everyone that I work with has 1 or 2 blackberrys and 2/3rds of those people have a storm. Everyone is running a 4.7 167 hybrid except me and one other person both of us are running 5.0 but both of us have pearls as back up phones and you can just dial *228 hit opt 3 type your info in and it will shut your old phone off and turn on the other so if my storm is driving me crazy then I use my pearl flip which is rock solid right now.

I've had 10 since Novenmber...constant reboots... call drops.etc..Thanks to the Crackman...Am good now

On my 10th Storm since Nov..constant reboots..drop calls..battery not keeping charge..the Whole 9yds.Thks to the Crackman, OS is no longer an issue
