    Switch Device in DM?

Ive been having problems with my Storms BB button and am getting it replaced. Because the PIN will be different should I just use the switch device in DM the regular way, or is there a different way? I want to make sure I get all my info/third party apps.

    Thanks

You can use switch device but I like to do it another way. Use the method to backup your 3rd party apps and also do a backup of your device. This way you always have a backup of your apps.

Here is the link on How to backup 3rd party apps

Yes, as long as you have the back up of all the stuff still on your computer it'll load onto the phone. Just plug in the new device and load it back on it. You'll have your BBM contacts still, but you'll have to re-request them.

Just fyi, if you have third party paid apps you need to ask to the vendor of the app for a new activation code, otherwise they may or may not work on the new device.

Provide them with the older pin and activation code, and the new pin as well.
