I am off to trade in my phone this afternoon. I have backed everything up but wanted to double check that when backing up all my pictures will be in that file too? And my contacts as well?
Your Contacts should back up.
Your pictures and OTHER MEDIA (music, videos you've taken) are likely stored on your SD card and will NOT backup.
You can hook your phone up to the PC and use Windows Explorer to copy them over to your PC in a location of your choice. Then put them back on your new phone the same way using Windows Explorer. Or, you can just swap SD cards from your old phone to your new one.
In Windows Explorer, the location of your pictures will likely be in the following directory (assuming your phone is connected to the PC):
My Computer > Blackberry2(DRIVE letter: ) > Blackberry > Pictures (or music, if backing up songs)
After you get the new phone, just copy the picturs back to the same location. Hope the new one works out better than the first.
Ok! Got my new phone and restored it last night...except for my 3rd party apps. the link you provided for backing up my 3rd party apps was fantastic..do you have one to show me how to get them back on?
Thanks!
