Thread: SD Card not reading..

I did a search for this topic all ready. I do apologize If i missed it.
I just registered with BB on the phone. Now I can not get my Micro SD card to read.
Any ideas?

First thing, check to make sure its inserted correctly. Then check your device settings are set to support the card. Then make sure your berry is not connected to your PC with the berry in mass media mode. Get back to us if this doesn't help, someone will answer as soon as we can.

Check on those suggestions. The only thing i did differently was activate the phone with BB. Then a Battery Pull.
I did find on another post to format the card. But If it doesn't read it how do i format it?

What model device? What size/capacity is the micro SD?

You know. I have a 9550 storm 2. The card is a 16GB card, It's the stock card that came with the phone. I think due to the fact I got a refurb phone is why It's failing. I put my cad in my old phone and, BAM! It worked.

It is possible that this is the case. Bring it in to your service provider and have them take a look.

If it's a refurb then more than likely the sd reader is fried. I remember reading something concerning this in the blackberry help forums quite some time ago

Common occurence with refurbs.

Yep, never know what you are going to get. I've had great refurbs as well. My second S1 was a great refurb.
