Thread: Randomly muting

This is new. My phone has started randomly muting and un-muting during calls. It mutes, then un-mutes, and repeats quickly. It does this when the phone is nowhere near my ear so it isn't my ear touching mute. Any ideas?

What phone model and OS version is this occurring on? Did you recently upgrade the OS? Did you install any new programs recently?

All 5 of my S1's muted but would not unmute. It didn't matter if I had 3rd party apps, hybrids or official OS, and it was completely random. Very frustrating when you are on a business call. I had to disconnect the call and call again. My S2 started this about 6 wks ago as well. VZW is sending me another S2 on Monday. I am fed up with VZW! I am looking at ATT and the Torch.

Call VZW, they will send you a new phone!
