BBerry 9530 Bell mobility CDMA to GPS issue

hey guys, i think i have the same problems like others, can someone show me how to swap the radio files. cause i did it and i did not know whther i did it correctly, these are the steps i have taken:

1. download hybrid
2. swap radio to (4.7.0.9) and shrink OS
3. copy blackberry.alx file into berry current OS folder and run uploader.

I can't see the different as i still cannot get my BIS. and where can i check the radio config in my berry. and I can't even use sms services.

Your sequence looks correct to me however, a radio file that you have selected may not necessarily perform the way you would like it to.
And no need to apologize. We all started somewhere. :fing02:

Might I suggest trying another OS without manipulating the folder. You very well may need to use the trial and error method to be sure of the condition of the device.
I can tell you from experience that changes from one OS to another can be subtle or they can be very extreme.
If you prefer a hybrid, we have some very excellent hybrid pros to offer up their opinions.
Like I mentioned before, I would try installing a different OS all together without manipulating anything.

thanks for the reply Mr admin, i thought no one would :17:. and the links u gave is awesome. i tried to follow the steps but i still cant c no changes in my radio file. currently its .272 (i tried to change to .114 platform). my OS is 5.0.591. the reason i wanna change the radio file cause my carrier can't support the current and the 'technical' people there are not helpful at all. any sugesstions? thanks again.
