What's BEST Radio File? Poll added

I'm sure all of us here have been through countless radio files. So let's put this to a vote and see which one(s) people like the most.

I just have a question, I know I should leave well enough alone but that just goes against my nature.... I was wondering if someone can tell me what the best radio file to date has been? I had .141 and just changed it back to .132, but now i read that .113 might have been the best. I need a strong constant signal!
Last does the radio file effect the browser speed. I like the speed in the .141 hybrid.

    Thanks!

If your looking for color it would be .90(worse radio for stability). Stability i personally like .109 and .132. I didnt like .113 very much, and .114,.122,.141 just didnt do nothing but give me problems. This is my opinion only, lol. But i would say the best is .109

Does the radio file effect the browser speed?

Assuming you have a good signal, no, the internet is controlled by 20 or so different cod files.

That is correct, the radio is where we get things like the color depth and the speed of the accelerometer as well as core system files.

Here are 2 guys that are authorities on this and I have 3 different opinions. jlevy you say .113 and .109 and Stiefler you say .109. it seems as though the recommendation is .109 but can either of you tell me why. I have .132 now for about the last hour and not sure if its worth it to change again without some more input from you both.....

Personally for me .109 was the most stable for me, i even used 3.5 on the .109 radio, also BBcrackman likes .109 lol. .132 is a nice radio also, but i ran .109 longer then i have .132 radio, so that is why i say .109

It all depends on what runs well on your device. These phones have a personallity of their own. I actually have two favorites, .109 and .132. Both have performed well in my device. I havent really run the 141 sfi file for that long, but I can tell you that it pixalates at random which is I have ventured elsewhere with the radio file.

v4 runs 132. I believe v3.5 had 113 but BBC has also created a v3.5 that used 109 as well.

As BBC pointed out it just depends on what works best for you. Also a lot depends on your location, 3rd party apps, themes etc. Everyone can agree to disagree on which SFI worked best for them. I didn't like 132 because I got poor signal strength and big time battery drain. 141 was just awful for me. .113 and .109 were very close in terms of signal strength and battery longevity. As you know these Storms really have a personality of their own. The only to determine which SFI is the best is to try them out yourself and make your own determination.

Before changing your radio I would give it another day or two. It takes the OS's some time to settle in so give it a while longer and see what you think of 132 before making any changes.

Well .132 is without a doubt working better for me than .141 but it still is not giving me a strong signal at my home location, I am usually at 3 bars. I will give it another day to see if that changes and then I will try either .113 or .109. I think on what I'm seeing here I'm leaning towards .109

I tried to use swap a radio from .132 to .109 on v4 and the lag time just killed me. What is the best way to go back to .109? Go back to 3.5V .109? I like V4 .132 because it is stable and no lag time and I have ran it 48 hrs with out a battery pull. But signal drops, battery drain, and memory leaks is a big down flaw with this system. I have had the best luck with the .109, but what is the best way to load the .109 radio with v4 and not have all of the lag time?

Best way to find out, is try a few for a couple days and see what one works best for you.
    I'm running lyricidal's latest 9530 .141/5.0.0.90 Hybrid, and changed to the 141 radio(it came with 132).
Not only is my signal better and more stable, my battery life went up as well.

Are you sure that the .141/5.5.0.90 has the .132 radio in it and not .141?

Correct, the stock .141/5.0 hybrid from Lyric uses the 141 radio code.

Actually, depends when you downloaded. I believe on 5/3 Lyric changed the radio from .141 back to .132 in that hybrid.
