Is it possible to create a thumbs up/ thumbs down voting tool on posts in findings threads? My thought is that you could then sort the posts by votes so members wouldn't have to read through several days of posts to find the quality nuggets.

We can put a poll together and have them vote, so you can get the jist of it.

you could just edit the original post and add it but you may not get many votes this late in the game...We can do it for future OS's...unless you have a specific one you were thinking of.

How does that work? Do you have to create a new poll for each thread after there is enough info to vote on? I don't really know how that works.
Anyway, I am not looking for anything in particular right now but I know I have found myself sifting through 500-600 posts wishing that I could benefit from all of the people before me who had already read through everything. I think that a voting tool could be a self-managing tool that wouldn't require any additional effort once set up. Results would be immediate which I think a lot of members would appreciate. It could be specifically for findings threads so that people don't disrupt other types of threads.
You can have both in one thread, for example, if OS .xxx is released In the findings thread a poll can be inserted. so when people install and come to write their findings they can vote yay, nay, or impartial. then if they want to read 100 replies they can. or you can.
