8 month left on the contract. For the love of god and all that is holy, please give us at least a new radio so we can hybrid it ourselves. I know newer is not always better, but it has been so long since we have had any movement. maybe our next os will have webkit. PLEASE OS GODS..........
I've got an early upgrade waiting, and I figure I'm exactly one week away from defecting to the Incredible. I love my 9530, but my wife has a Droid, and seeing what a phone can do with a decent processor makes me realize that I need to move on. The 9550 was an improvement, but not nearly enough of one. Not sure how well I'll adjust, but...
.75 -> .148 -> .151 Hybrids -> v5
Better and better!
i think anyone waiting to move outta BB.. yall should wait til after next week and the WES .. and c if RIM announces anything amazing with phones in the near future .. b4 leavin BB behind

Relax from the NOSE!! ~New OS Excitement lol~
I'm a long time BB user, but if RIM/Verizon doesn't put out a much improved version of the Storm, with a larger, higher resolution screen, more memory, faster processor, faster browser, I will probably switch to one of the Android phones. Only reason I haven't switched yet is because I'm waiting to see if Google will fix the problem with Android 2.+ not being able to bluetooth voice dial, and because my new every 2 doesn't come up until August. So RIM has 4 more months to show me something.
Lyricidal's 643 is running nicely - surprised I haven't seen any mention of it on this site. Regardless, pre-ordered the incredible to see what all the bruhaha is about.

Well .591 was just leaked.... We'll see how this (and more news from WES) will determine when and if I get the HTC Incredible. Loading leaked .591 now!
Currently downloading .591, what's this .643 from Lyrica? ..... First I've seen, is it actually newer than the new leaked version? (Or did they grab the java from another phone and merge it into .419 for the S1).
Woot woot!!! Loading ASAP!!
Happy for all my 9530 friends here !!!:banana::dance::banana:
Gonna load it on my son's tomorrow !!!

for those of you loading up .591, head on over to the findings and fixes thread and let everyone know what your experience is. 9530 users unite!
i would turn it all in for late nights and impossible dreams.
FINALLY!!! So Happy...Downloading NOW!
My contract for my Storm 9530 with Verizon is almost up. I have the 5.0.0.428 unofficial OS on my Storm. I don't like doing unofficial/hybrid installations as it is always hit or miss as to whether I get it installed correctly. I know most of the posters on this forum love to do these installs, but I would much rather have an official update. There has been no official upadated OS's for quite awhile now, and it doesn't look like RIM or Verizon is worried about helping to improve the 9530 for users that don't like to spend money all the time uprading to the newest phones, hoping that they will work like they want. The 9530 was my first BB and experience with Verizon. Even though my phone is working better than when first purchased, it still is very frustrating and slow at doing the things I use it for.
With my experience with the Storm, I will more than likely not even consider a BlackBerry on any carrier in the future. It just doesn't seem like they are able to close the technological gap and surge ahead of the competition. So, I will probably jump ship and go back to ATT and use my old Motorola Razor phone and save money on the required data plan and start getting my roll over minutes back:irked:
