I just wish I could use a straight 3.5mm jack going from the radio to the Storm, but no hookup on the front of the radio. What is the best way that you guys have found to hook this bad boy up in the car?
use a tape player with the 3.5mm wire hook up. thats what i use.

sorryto say but i feel the exact same way. ive used every os, andsome seem to be better than others buti think itsjust pure luck... .90 seemed like itworked the best iff you use the cods fromit it might make it a lil better but honestly, i really wish there wasa permanent fix forthis too because this is my number one problem withmy storm right now. i will be working on a fix until i find one and once i do you better believe it will be up here. ive had to resort to using my laptop as an auxiliary source because im so sick of the volume changes.

edit: for everyone talking about different brandsof stuff it doesnt matter. the phone will turn itself down when you get a call or text when connected witha 3.5mm jack. bluetooth/fm is crap quality andi definatelly dont reccomendit. the only fix i have foundthat works is to doabatt pull but as soon as you get a text especially it will lower the volume. as i said before i am working on a fix, since im sure this is nowhere on RIMs priority list.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think you might have to buy another head unit that has bluetooth built in. I could be wrong though.

A little off topic but when you replace the stock unit on your Jetta make sure that someone who knows what they are doing does it. I own a VW shop and I have ran across a lot of bad installs that make everything not work.

I really wanted to use it for it's bluetooth and "handsfree" for the car for the phone and for music but I like my factory setup because it has so many features built into it like the temp, mpg, oil, etc things like that

I would really just like my factory monsoon system to run my Storm music. I want to be able to hook a 3.5mm cable in to listen to Slacker.
