Hearing rumors of a .742 from Vodafone. Anyone knows if this is a legit release? Or if its just the same .451 released earlier that is renamed as I saw sumn 1 saying on another site.

Package version ? Wat dat mean?

You typically have multiple numbers in an OS DL...e.g. one is the package number, one is the radio, and another the version of the included applications - what most ppl are referring to is the application no...and unfortunately there is not yet anything higher than .451 for the 9500 - but a lot of rumours![]()

There is no new .742 build:
BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.742 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 5.0.0.742
Consisting of:
- Applications: 5.0.0.451
- Software Platform: 4.2.0.198
- File name: 9500_omadrmM_PBr5.0.0_rel742_PL4.2.0.198_A5.0.0.45 1_Vodafone_Australia.exe
- File size: 127.8MB
and it is the application number ppl get excited for in OS releases - so this is .451
Ok got it.

Have you ever wondered why things intended to make our lives simpler keep getting more complicated to use?
Must be great having good weather all year (minus the storms, of course...)
