    Question Turn off storm 9500 accelerometer

    can we "turn off" the automatic accelerometer feature? I use the bb in "portrait" mode most of the time, it start to annoy me when the accelerometer automatically work in "landscape mode"

    if i not misstaken on my knowledge there is no way to turn it off, somebody else correct me if i am wrong...

    You are correct, there are a couple spots where it doesn't flip...the phone for example.

    ealvnv is correct. There is NO way to turn the Blackberry Storms accelerometer off. It is in the programming to work at all times. Sorry for the disappointing news, lol

    I am new here and i can tell you there is a way to turn off your accelerometer, however... it will cost you $4.99

    I know it should be free, but these 2 programs have made me fall in love with my storm again...

    Below are the programs...


    StopTilt: Disable Auto Rotation on Storm
    Current Version: 2.0.8.14 (Purchased: 2.0.8.14) <----- i use this one as V2 now doesn't reset your settings to default when you do a reset or battery pull.

    There is a free one: Orientation Lock....does just what paid ones do as well. The only issue with all of these is they don't work on most 3rd party apps. Also, I would like them to lock the app, not just the current screen.
