i highly doubt it. a) its another thing that they have to cram into a phone and most phones are going smaller not bigger. b) not a high enough demand for it

True, but think bout this, when they release the app for opening a garage door. How many people will say that they are able to open a garage door with their phone?
[EDIT] This can be done on iPhone if hacked

it would be cool to use the touch screen of the storm to move the mouse cursor around on the pc...like a laptop :147:

Neat idea, but would you use it just like the mouse pad and double tap the screen for a selection? And what bout the left and right mouse buttons?

i have an ipod touch, and before the app store when most the stuff was free, there was an app that worked just like a track pad. just move your finger and it moved cursor, then the paid version showed the screen.

there are a few apps like this for the blackberry heres one

    Lightbulb

I was looking for something similar awhile back.. I found the following BlueTooth remote for blackberry, but It also requires a helper app to be installed on the computer (windows only)..

bluCTRL wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse

.. Unfortunate for me, as my media PC is not running windows!

I keep hoping to see one for the blackberry that is more like MobileRemote for windows mobile: mobileSRC: MobileRemote - control your pc from your phone

..it doesn't require any additional PC software, as it emulates a true BlueTooth wireless keyboard, mouse, and touchpad.. maybe the storm version could also use the accelerometer to act like a gyroscopic mouse / wii controller!

..true IR is nice also though; I miss being able to change the TV channel on just about any TV in any restaurant or bar (as I use to be able to do with my WM Samsung i730)!

I'm a realtor and they recently released software for the BlackBerrys to be able to open the lockboxes which have an IR interface. To use the BlackBerry we just needed a BlueTooth to IR converter, about the size of a large key fob. Before this we had to use dedicted lock box key devices or smartphones with integrated IR.
