Latest OS for the Storm

I was wondering, since I have been out of the game for 2 months and so much can/ has happened in that time, what is the best, most stable OS update for the 9530? I assume they are all leaked and there has not yet been an official OS update from VZW yet, correct? Where you at Big Red? Slackin Hard! I expected there to be one awaiting me on my return. To my dismay I found out otherwise :aargh4::aargh4::aargh4: :17::17::17: I am currently still running 5.0.0.230, which I installed in the beginning of October before I had to "disappear"

Ok, so I was just paruzzing, is that even a word?, the OS folder of the forum and saw the Official OS post by Brett. I noticed that Verizon did in fact release 5.0.0.328 for the 9530. So once I get my computer up and running (I need to have my MotherBoard replaced :pat::17::aargh4:) which will hopefully be tomorrow, I plan on downloading and installing it. What do the folks who are running it have to say about it? Nice things? or Bad things?

run .328 and put BBCrackman's V10 over the top of it. stable, reliable and has most of the things we're all looking for already installed.
BBCrackman does an excellent job building hybrids.

Thanks guys. I installed .328 earlier this evening and I will try BBCrackman's V10 on top of it in the next couple of days.

5.0.0.419 FULL is the latest for the 9530. non-hybrid

Been running .419 w/.436 from OOAK. Awsome,fast,smooth

How long have you been running this? My daughter is coming home tomorrow and she has been complaining about her Storm1. now she said she can't post pictures to Facebook. She is running an older OS, not sure which one but I know it's 5.0 something. I told her that I would upgrade her phone to something new. I don't know what to put on it. Should I use this one or put
.328 with BBC's V10. I want something stable for her because I don't know when I'll get her phone again.

When you installed this did you use the .419 version released from Mobility as the base?

Yes, Use with .419 from Mobility I Think?

Had it for about 3 days and running strong.

Real easy to do. Install .419 on computer, Grab OOAKPC .436 installer,shrunk or unshrunk.Delete Java folder from .419 and run .436 installer.Then Shrink and install.

what does 'shrunk' and 'unshrunk' mean? I have .419 on my 9530 and for the most part its good. I get black lines through my chats tho. Not a huge issue but annoying.....is the .436 in the hybrids threads?????

shrunk version has a few apps removed. Unshrunk doesn't/

To Remove those black lines Go TO: Options / SMS Text / - an On Conversation Style: change bubbles To Stripes. THats the Fix Bud :duh:, an on a hybrid it still exist, i believe it has to do with the radio file of .419

Just did it and it is fixed..yay! No more black lines!!

does .419 have the flick scrolling and such just as the .323 leak did? i tried upgrading from the leak to .419 and it told me it was a downgrade......super confused at this point.

419 has flick scrolling.

Have you removed all of the other OS's from you PC except for 419. You can check this in control panel, add/remove programs. Also, make sure to remove the vendor.xml files
