I have downloaded opera 5.0 beta and like it. Can I now delete the Browser application that appears in applications in order to save internal memory?

I dont think you would save that much memory but it could be done.

And I think we need the Browser app to install OTA apps.

Opera 5 beta wont do it.

you can remove the cod files for the browser but then you will end with an java application error since the browser is a part of the core application that are needed for the bb to work properly.

im talking due to my own experience...

The only problem with that is that the 9500/9530 does not have wifi. Therefore you cannot do that.

Also, I would not recommend deleting the native browser bc you can not choose what browser is launched from apps. As was previously stated, as well, I do not believe that it would save enough memory for it to be beneficial. While there are some issues that us BB lovers have with the native browser, and some things it lacks, it is a vital part of the Blackberry experience.
