    Best browser for Storm

I was just reading the thread on desktop browsers and it sparked a question I've had for a while w. my Storm.

Blackberry browser, Internet Explorer, and Firefox and the 3 choices on browser identification and BB and IE are the 2 choices for browser on the Storm. Does anyone have any feedback on what's the optimal choice for each of those...and I mean optimal from a memory management and browser speed standpoint.

    Thanks!

I have heard the smoothest, fastest one is the BB browser.

I have tried firefox and it was very slow. (due to loading all the pics of a normal web page)

Nothing integrates better with a BB Browser, than a BB Browser,...imo..you always loose some functionality with other browsers.

I'm happy with the standard BB Browser. Since updating to .122 it is pretty fast on my phone.

I use Opera Mini for almost all my web browsing I love the speed and full page view that it offers.

Bolt was super slow on my phone (and I mean slooooow) I loved the changes on the new version, but couldn't stand how slow it was.

I found the speed with Bolt to be comparable with that of Opera Mini. Both are much faster than the RIM browser. Bolt had a few quirks that I grew tired of. Opera is nice, but downloads still must pass through the RIM browser, which I don't like.

Ain't that the truth it cracks me up that you can have two people side by side with storms, and on one a program rocks and on the other it sucks. Same with memory leaks some apps cause it on one phone but not another. Sometimes it gives me a headache.

But I haven't figured if there's a way to make Opera or other browsers the default so when you click on a hyperlink in a message, it launches Opera (or other) instead of the BB...is that possible?

I dont believe so.. You could always hide which ever browser/s that you dont use much so you can forget they are there

Cool, it seems though, you make realize a gain in page loading or other small improvements with other browsers. The decrease in the functionality of browsers, other than the BB Browser is very apparent imo.

Yeah, I just tried to convert to Opera and gave up...I'll stick w. the BB Browser...I'm used to it and it's integrated w. hyperlinks so the familiarity makes it easier to use.

It's been known that they do not have any plans for supporting BlackBerry. bad news for us.
