The $15 is additional if you want to use your phone as a modem. When you get the BB its not part of the data plan so if you dont see it....you dont have it. If you ask me, its not worth it so thus the reason why I am seeking alternative tethering options.

Just a heads up about the amount of data you receive through verizon.

I just talked to a Verizon VZaccess Rep and this is what he said:

The title "unlimited" stems from there old network
$29.99 gives you 2GB (basic data plan)
$44.99 gives you 5GB (there tethering data plan )
$1.99 per MB when you go over

So if you only have the basic data plan I would not advise you go over 2GB.

He also stated that they do not offer anymore more than 5GB data package.

I just downloaded the free trial of TetherBerry. I don't have a laptop computer to use it with when away from an internet connection, but I thought about trying to do away with my DSL internet at home to save money. TetherBerry works fine with my home computer, but I found out that with Verizon, I cannot use my computer and talk on the phone at the same time. I may have to go back to AT&T if I want to do that. :irked:
