Thread: Miro 2.0 95xx for Lefties

I have the Miro 2.0 theme on my S2 9550. I love the theme with the possible exception that it is not for lefties.
When you bring up the slider of running apps, the label associated with the icon will appear on the left side, which is under the hand of a left handed person.
On the Home screen, hovering over an icon displays a label for the icon at the center bottom of screen. This works if you are using the top two rows. If you go to the bottom row, the label should pop to the top of the screen.

Make themes that utilize a left-handed or right-handed individual. :cool2:

You may get a theme developer to help you with that.

Wow.. I never would have thought about that.. Im a Righty.. so of course I didnt much ever think about doing themes for Lefties.. Its a good idea though..

Ya know those will cost more...like left-handed baseball gloves...and left handed school desks...and especially left-handed blondes !!!! ( I know that as a fact, since I married one 29 years ago!!! ) :biglaugh:

Thanks for the input. If a theme developer wants to claim the left handed niche in the market, I'll volunteer as a tester!

There is no option for a theme developer to control how he/she wants to align the text of the "slider of running apps".

As for the Home Screen text showing at the bottom center, if I do it the way you mentioned, then it would not be logical or aesthetic in terms of consistency.

Could be that I work in the scientific research field that I don't go for the aesthetics slant on theme design.

Frank Lloyd Wright's slogan "form follows function" should be the mantra of designers whether it is BB themes, buildings, or machines.

That being said, miro 2.o is still a sweet theme, lefties just naturally adapt to things.

Count me in on the testing. I'd love to see something like this. You get used to it, but....

As a left-handed blonde - I agree with you guys. But like most left handers- we are so used to adapting to the "right" way of doing things that it becomes 2nd nature. When I finished cosmotology school I rewarded myself with an expensive pair of left-handed scissors-- turns out I couldn't use them- I was so used to cutting with right handed ones that I couldn't get used to applying pressure the other way- so they were useless. Also- whenever I am typing one-handed on my blackberry- I use my right hand.

Great idea, but like everything else designed for lefties, it'll mess up our little world cause we've had to acclimate to the right handed world for so long.

Being a lefty myself, I am much like Maddie when it comes to my Blackberry. It would be a nice thing if there were such a thing as a left handed oriented theme. Great idea.
