Thread: My New Storm Theme

(Update!!! Here is the Final version)
This is a first for me but after toying around I came up with this...

• Home screen has hot spot that launches app menu
• all dock buttons glow
• bottom dock has custom icons and slides (thanks "AHAZ")
• extra slot on home screen for your fav weather app
• hidden today (just touch date) reveals 6 events

Blank Black Button came from Plizzo's 3G theme for iphone. I think the wallpaper was a custom bold wallpaper..

If anyone wants to give it a whirl I need help creating an OTA link!

Afraid I can't help you with the OTA link but once it's set up, I'd love to give it a try. Looks fantastic.

Really appreciate the help..I know not everyone wants the icons or even uses the third party apps in the bottom dock so I will drum up another with default app slots

The look is awesome, but yeah I don't use most of those apps. But one thing to look at is the app switcher screen where your highlight is skewed.

Can you change the font on the date . Its cut off on my storm 2 by the weather.

Ok...I fixed the date issue and also fixed the icon order so that the first icon in your app menu will fill the weather slot. Fiddled around some and put a BB logo raised image on hot spot. As far as the skewed highlight in the app switcher, I don't know of any fixes but I am all ears...Really looking for feedback on this, so all pos and neg is welcome. I am out of town for a week and don't have regular internet so I can't post changes until tomorrow.

So after rearranging the icons to my liking, my only suggestion would be that the day'date not be forced on my home screen.
Its not a real breaker. I give it an 8 out of 10.
My BerryWeather conditions won't fully show on the home screen as well.
I get the visual notification for the condition but that's all. I can't get any of the Icon Titles to display.
Again, not a deal breaker.

Thanks MePascal! I understand the date preference but when I designed the theme, I wanted to be able to display calendar events on the home screen and the date serves as a reference for a hotspot that reveals the 6 most recent events. The weather app will be fixed in the next update and the current conditions will display below the weather icon. Thank you again MePascal for your honest inputs...

Wow. Nice theme. I am really picky about my theme. It has to have function, be clean, and fast. Nice work.

I thought the SMS MMS button on the home screen was for BBM. I think it would be a good idea to change this. Don't most people combine their messages and SMS? Maybe not. Or remove options for BBM. That would be sweet.

This is exactly what I was going to point out.... Also there are two sets of media icons. I'm pretty impressed with this and would really like to see the final product! Thanks for sharing!

Twice now after a while my bottom 4 icons on the home screen become the next set of 4 for no reason. Any ideas?

Never mind. Couldn't find the hot spot that moves the 4 icons to the second set of 4. Bonus!

I agree, thought that was the bbm icon. It would be great to have the bbm on that top row seeing as i do combine my messages. Other than that it is one of the best themes i have used.

Ok guys, since it has come up repetedly I will convert the sms button to launch BBM. I never use BBM so it was just convenient for me to have it launch the generic sms...Not that I don't like BBM, I just don't know enough people with Blackberries to utilize it. Keep hitting me with inputs though, I really want this to be as functional as possible. Also I can add some themed internet shortcut buttons for commonly used websites so if you have any requests I will try to hook it up!
