Thread: Protecting your screen..

So what are you doing to protect your screen. I'm waiting on BestSkinsEver to make a kit for the Storm 2 but need something while waiting. I did try the Verizon Storm 3-pack display protection.. ugh.. horrible..

I gotta tell you I probably won't use anything. I never put a screen protector on my first storm and never got a scratch

Never used a screen protector on the S1, nor a case...kept it as is...sure an everyday little scratches on the battery case, but other than that...no problems. When i got the S2, the guy tried very hard to sell me an case or protector or car charger...anything he could, I kept saying no..lol

I purchased the phantomskinz, they are running a sale where they are 30% off now, cost $7 for the screen protector and they make really good stuff.

Hmmmm, very interesting.

I believe on all the "newer" blackberrys there using scratchproof material. I know for a fact the the Storm 1 glass screen was said to be scratchproof so I never used a screen protector.

Easy install.

Might take some getting used to though. Still get a little mirror action when the screen is active. Looks really cool when it's off and it's just mirror though.

I was going to ask the same question.

I only use a vzw screen protector (just cause...) and no case. Did same with storm1 and it was always fine as I totally baby my phones.

I had one on my Storm1 for a while. Had to take it off, though. Just seemed funny for a guy to have a mirror like that. Something that would be great for a chick. LOL Gave one to my daughter and she loves it. But for a guy, no thanks.

Probably not.

The protector as a means to save your screen is awesome. It's pretty thick and the install went quickly. Appears that it will last a while.

The mirror effect does effect what you see. I keep getting this rainbow-like effect as I scroll through my apps and stuff. Not sure I like it, but will probably get used to it.

I really liked it beacuse it was cut to fit the 9550, and the ones that VZW was offering in the store stopped short of the buttons on the bottem, seemed that they were for the S1.

I don't believe that they are scratch proof. I got a real small hairline scratch on my Storm1. The guy pointed it out when he put a protector on it for me. I
definitely want one on my Storm2. I want one that comes down to cover the buttons, and dry applied too.

No scratches here either.

I did buy the Phantom skinz.. There are 9 parts to the full body kit. Edges could be done better but all in all the screen protector part works great.

I never used anything on my storm1 but I bought another Otterbox commuter for my storm 2 which came with a clear screen protector that I didn't put on at first since I could always tell it was there but today I tried the one that came with the otterbox and its perfect. Covers the entire screen and you cannot tell its there.
