Salomondrin has now hooked us up with our first looks at a Verizon Storm 2...Could this mean we are getting closer to an Official drop date???

So why is the screen covered???

could the piece of paper be covering a sticker with incriminating details of the owner of the device?

Nope, might be the statement "Property of RIM not for sale or lease blah blah" but I don't see the point of covering that when we all know those are pre release devices

What's suspicious about it? If any one had or has a storm you know the logo is on the battery door. Looks 100%. And so far Sal. Hasn't led us done a wrong path.

Correct, what is suspicious is, why covering a part of the phone, and why the pic is from the back isn't branded at front too?

The S2 in the "Pre-review" on PhoneArena's website has the Verizon logo on the back too.

Sal does his best to give BB users information about new phones and for the most part has done a fantastic job.

However, that being said, the phone is no closer to release. The hardware design is complete, what is not, is the OS. RIM still has uses with the SFI and oversensitivity with the Vclick mechanism.

As a result the phone has not gone into mass production yet. Therefore we are still at least a solid month if not more away from it being released.
