Thread: Another Storm 2 Video

Has anyone else seen this new Storm 2 video that was posted on Youtube?
I have never posted a video before. I hope it will attach to the thread. What does everyone think? I know the Storm 2 is going to be hot, but is it going to make Storm 1 owners jump and go buy it.

I'm running 5.0 on the Storm and I am liking it AALLOTT. I am not completely sold that I would pay the asking price for a phone that can only offer WiFi, a slighlty better screen and 5.xxx as an OS.

Anyone care to comment on the video and their thoughts.

and yes I saw it and while it wasn't earth shattering it was nice to see one in action that is for sure.

I was very unimpressed with the video. For one, it doesn't show even show wifi as an option, accelerometer didn't seem an faster than what we already have and overall the typing did not show me anything that blew me away.

Another rumor mill that has begun to spin on another forum is that Storm 2 will have flick scrolling out of the box on many core apps. Once again, just a rumor but there was nothing in that video that even hinted at it.

So it has more memory whoopy. Anyone using 5.0 right now can attest that memory is not an issue at all. I boot up at 45.6 with about 15 apps and after running it for 5 days straight I am now at 48.6.

It's nice to see a hands on of it but really that didn't do squat in selling me that this is a phone I should go out and purchase.

I think some features are not disclosed as they are meant to surprise us. I did read Kevin's statement that there are more surprises coming our way soon.


I personally cannot wait for November to come!!!

Not to pry, but what apps are you running to stay so high in the 40s in memory? Also, did you do any shrinking to 5.0 before installing?
