Not necessarily. Verizon is the combination of a number of companies formed around 2000 where Vodafone is 50% owner in Verizon. Actually Vodafone is a much larger company than Verizon, so from a muscle standpoint they have the advantage.

The S2 in GSM form will cover a larger number of countries via Vodafone vs the US for Verizon. Of course I would much prefer the joint venture of Vodafone and Verizon to due a joint launch but thats a nice dream. Its not the waiting for say November part from now that will get to you, its when November gets here and we are still nowhere close to a real formal date that it starts to eat at you

You raise a good point. there is also the additional factor of how each company approves hardware and software. Maybe vodafone is just more efficient in doing so??

Are they more efficient or just less demanding? I don't know, just asking. Thanks for the Vodaphone education, I appreciate it.

Knowing RIM and Verizon, they will probably push that date back a bit... Remember the 9530??? None the less the 9550 really intrigues me. I really miss the physical keyboard of a traditional blackberry, but i wouldn't doubt this one will give a run for the money...

In a post not too long ago Crucial stated October 2nd as the release date of Storm 2. What he didn't specify is whether that is the Vodafone release or VZW or both.
