I hope no one actually purchases this.
I have purchased phones and accessories from them, they have a store in NYC and sell online as well. Their no contract price would be higher than Verizon's everyone makes a little off the sale. I will only be 1 year into my contract when Storm 2 comes out so it will either be full boat at the Verizon store or negotiate with my rep there to extend my contract at the discount rate.
The no ETA doesn't scare me, they will issue a reminder when the time comes to see if you still want to order it and the option to cancel. If you are going to pay retail, you might as well goto Verizon so you have them to go back on if there is an issue with the phone.
No one has the real data on the storm 2, let alone the release date. If they used one of the photo's that leaked to engadget and others they would likely get a phone call from a RIM attorney. Still I would not buy regardless of the vendor until a date is formally announced and hardware is finalized. Anything could change, heck we could get an OLED screen, now that would be sweet.
About Mobile City
I preordered my 1st BlackBerry Storm 9500 from Mobile City, all I can say is that it took a few months before the phone was released,,, and I was not sure if I was getting the 9500 or 9530. However I ended up with the 9500.
When I was charged it was for the full advertised price, but I complained about the release price verses the Storms sales price after the phone was released I was credited the difference.
The only thing I am wondering is which model of the Storm they are listing? If we look back we see that Rogers was to get the 9520, which would be compatible with AT&T network? We all know that Rogers has been numb since the rumor started and then came rumors about the Storm 2 being leaked? So what will the new models numbered? Even Horizzion pulled thier preorder 5 months ago?
Your still gonna see a Storm 2 that is GSM, is it gonna be the 9520? Probably not, but you'll be seeing the updated GSM Storm 2. So the NA GSM Storm is still coming, just in Storm 2 form.

Its not the one we seen leaked. That is a photoshopped Storm 1. The big difference are the buttons on the bottom, they're not physical buttons anymore, touch sensitive.
blackberry storm 2 9550 pre-order, not a bad price
