ie- storm 9530 cdma
thunder 9500 GSM
so wouldnt that make the storm 2 9x30? I mean there was a thread on this that explained it better, but like the vzw curve now is 8330 new one is 8530...so in theory the second number identifies the model as the last 2 identify things such as gsm, cdma, wifi..so on right?

Oh also remember, the 85xx are replacing the now 8330, different models

I like seeing 5.1XXX. I wonder if this is Storm specific, meaning is it software specific towards a non-physical keyboard?

I also heard rumors (don't know if any of it is true) but that RIM is trying to go with one OS platform for all their phones so that when they find bugs they only have to update one platform as opposed to 100. Logic makes sense have no idea whether its doable in reality.

Very interesting. That's the first reference I've seen to 5.1. Any info radio? Is that S2 only or are other models getting into the 5.1's?

I said 5.1 last month. Just not on this site though.

As far as I know Nate 5.1 is S2 specific.

Josh I have the same info about 5.0 being "universal"

As for the S2 I what I heard (awaiting confirmation on this matter) will be 9xx0.
