9550 isn't gonna launch with 5.0. Its gonna be a 5.1 build, and RIM is still cooking up 5.1 builds, if they weren't that would stop the OS on a few other devices. Pretty sure Dakota is one of those devices.Originally Posted by xplode

That 5.1 was still getting cooked up.
Other devices?? Enlighten me? Which device and what bundle number? I'd like to know which devices you think are using 5.1 and which bundle they're using.
5.1 was dropped back to 5.0 almost two weeks ago. Everyone also needs to remember that its just a label really. Like 4.5 is really 4.3, 4.7.3 is really 5.0, etc etc. The main most important change with this roll back is that the Platform dropped from 4.3 to 4.2. If you notice the entire 95xx series is a bit behind other devices with 5.0 as the have entered into Platform 5.x. The kernel is still basically the same, but the other ones are still ahead.

Not saying I'm 100% on everything, but I think I heard before there were some other devices with 5.1. I could be wrong though.
No mate wasn't meaning it like that. I was just asking which devices and what version number. You are correct in that some have/are used/using 5.1. But things have changed a bit and things are being re-worked. There may be/are some using 5.1, but its not for sure going to stay like that.
For instance, 5.1 being dropped for almost 2 weeks, but today is the first anyone heard about it. That's all. Wasn't trying to come off like a jerk or anything. Its just recently things have changed up quite a bit.

Ahh, okay! Totally misunderstood you man. This was a while ago, but I believe the Magnum/Dakota device was one of the said 5.1 devices. Not too sure on other devices, but I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and go with saying the other pure touch devices might run a 5.1 build.
