Thread: Not able to Reload OS 5 after Wiping for Storm 2 9520

Hi,

I had wiped my Storm 2 9520 using BBSAK and downloaded OS 5 for reloading the OS through the normal loader in that, but after the loading happens it shows

"The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator"

Please help me!!

Hello sudhin,

First make sure the OS version is installed on your computer by going to... Control Panel... Programs.

If you see that it is installed, then make sure to search out for any vendor xml files and delete them. Usually there is two. See here for how to do that... How To search for & delete your vendor.xml file.

Once you have made sure the vendor.xml files are deleted then you can go ahead and install your OS using the Loader.exe. To find the Loader.exe icon, go to... C:... Program Files... Common Files... Research In Motion... App Loader.
