Thread: BB_net_rim_app(244) not responding. adrrss book faulty. please help

I just woke up and found my adress book, dial and drop buttons (green and red) are not functional.
As usual I removed the battery from the phone for more than a minute and inserted it again with no help. There are now more error messages popping up on the screen; uncaught exceptions waitforregistry(0x0222..)

This happened because I was charging the phone on my notebook and left it there the whole night charging.

So what's the damage? Does anybody know?

I've heard others have had good luck with this...

Go to the home screen. Hold down the alt key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type).This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be the problem cause. Delete and then reinstall that app and see it that error message goes away.
As far as the non functioning buttons, I'm thinking that an OS upgrade will correct this issue. If you have the latest OS, then a reinstall may correct this issue.
And actually, an OS upgrade/reinstall may correct all issues, so try that first.

I went to the settings and security wiped everything and now I'm able to make use of those functions I had lost. If it happens again I now know what to do without wiping off all my apps. Thanks for the response.
