I wouldn't be holding my breath on VZW doing an "exchange" deal for us MK1 Storm'rs. I'm sure they'll do everything in their power to squeeze whatever "$" out of us that they can.
But I guess when it comes down to it... it's going to be a wait and see.
As for the pics on the Storm2 (I hope that's not what they plan on naming it, maybe "Thunder Storm" or "Lightning Storm" :laugh2:) ... I didn't see any external speaker(s). Did I miss something? I also hope that they made a better seal around the screen to prevent the "dust under the screen" issue that some of us have experienced.
I was kind of hoping for some type of trackball, but I guess not.
All in all, I just hope the Storm2 is worth while

Verizon has always been the most expensive carrier with respect to actual hardware and plans no? Either way, I'm sticking by Verizon. Best service everywhere I'M at. :) So... everyone have any idea how much an unlocked Storm 1 would go for once the Storm 2 comes out? :P
Oops, lotsa typos... haha anyways, my point is that Verizon probably won't offer any special deal for original Storm owners... it's one of those YMMV type thing where if you're lucky enough to get CSR and supervisor that'll exchange or provide a huge discount on the new hardware, then you're just that... lucky... :PQuote:

I had a though about this earlier if they would give the storm one owners a break on the price to upgrade. Now my numbers may be off slightly but....with 15 million subscribers and 1 millions storm 1s sold that means storm users represent approximately 7% of the VZW network. The way I see it is to offer 7% of the network a price break on the phone (they will make the profit up in service and data use) would be in the best interest of VZW. Giving 7% a discount to keep a customer would hardly break the bank however making 7% of your customers angry in one fail swoop could be unrecoverable. Just my .02!
