I looked at the instructions and it says to shrink the OS if you want. What does that mean, should I do it and how do I do it?

Also, since I have 713 already installed can I just install the hybrid on my present installation with deleting my apps etc and will it impact the settings and 3rd party apps if I do it without a fresh install?

Also FYI there is a known bug (verified by Verizon) in 713 which results in a random buzz during a conversation. I am hoping that maybe the hybrid would fix that problem.

Shrinking an operating system allows you to remove the crap thats preinstalled...default ring tones, languages, default pics...etc.

You may have to reload some apps, and will have to re-enter passwords on others, but yes, you can just install the hybrid now, with using the 713 as the base. The buzz should be eliminated with this hybrid as well.

In addition to telling me how to shrink the OS, I understand that a new version of the BB Internet service ver 3.2 will be released in about a week. If I install the hybrid OS can I just use the BB DM 6 to install the new internet service like I would normally?

Yes. Installing the hybrid is going to affect your bb only, not bis. The only time a hybrid (to the best of my knowledge) will affect you is if you were to download OTA an officially released OS from your carrier

Once again thanks for the information. I will try to do the installation this weekend and I will hope everything goes as planned.

If this fixes the randon buzz ona call it will be a great improvement.

Sounds too good to be true, but I am very hopeful. After testing installation for a while I will let you know the results.
