    Storm 2 allowed on AT&T?

I remember reading AT&T disallowed storm's to be used on their network, am I feeding myself lies or was that true?

Thanks guys :P I'm getting a BB soon

Last I read... RIM pulled all storms off gsm networks to keep exclusivity at VZW or other cdma approved provider.

where did you guys read this? I have a storm 2 on ATT. the thing is you cannot seem to get the service books onto the device with any OS that is more recent than 5.0.0.517.

oh, hi, i am new to the forum... been a browser, but finally took the plunge.

This is not true, what happened with T-Mobile was a problem on their end, they have since then fixed the issue...

    not sure about ATT tho..

you can always side load service books.

service books don't care what OS is running

hence my storm 2 running os6 hybrid and works just fine with all services.

By side load, he means "User-Side" not "Remote-Side" per-say.. Which is what hodges said, loading them via DM instead of OTA.

Maybe the problem is sum ppl think all storms are cdma. Only 9530 and 9550 are cdma. 9500 and 9520 are gsm. Blocking 9500/9520 can't help cdma carries.

I assure you that wasn't my problem.. I had a 9530 on AT&T - with it being CDMA?.. Because i Userside-loaded my service books I just heard that AT&T blocked the 9530 & 9550, thus my question.
