    uncaught exception: java.lang.outofmemoryerror

Does anyone now the cause and the fix for the above error? It's been awhile since I've installed any 3rd party apps.

What OS are you running, and what 3rd party app are you trying to load?

    Also...do this for me.

Browser > BB button > options > Cache operations > Content Cache

Clear your Cache, and reboot your phone, and try again.

What were you trying to load when you got that error message, or did it just "pop up" outta the blue?

    ....Sorry

What I meant was what app were you running when you got this error message ? I'm thinking...with all the 3rd party apps you have on your phone, you may have one conflicting with the other...or an older app that needs to be upgraded.

Just pops up. I am starting to notice that it pops up after resuming when back light goes out. (what is that called?) I'm wondering if stormslider is the culprit but I've never experienced this for as long as I've owned stormslider back in the 9530 days.

Wasn't running any apps. First noticed it when I wanted to make a Skype call this morning... restarted phone. Noticed when I wanted to check email... restarted phone. etc.

I have read...(and can't remember the details)...of folks having issues with stormslider. Delete stormslider...and see if that fixes the issue.

Make certain you have the most up-to-date versions of your 3rd party apps, because some don't run well on 5.0.0.607

If you have some older apps that you don't use...delete those too.

Trial and error is the only true way to see if you have 3rd party app conflicts.

Let us know what you find....

...almost forgot...keep an eye on apps that you have running "in the background" as that can cause memory issues...as well as suck the life outta your battery.

Will do. Thanks for your help. So far I've updated PageOnce, Skype and working on BeWeather. Wish there was an easy button to check for updates on all but I guess that's what I get for downloading so many apps. lol

How can I find the apps that are running in the background? I think 1/2 of my apps do just that.

    Hold down the BB button.

The only apps that will always run in the background are Phone, messages, home screen, and browser....and BlackBerry messenger if you use it.

The only 3rd party app that I use that runs in the background is Social Scope (twitter app).

Find any other, make sure you CLOSE them completely.

you can do this to check what is the application giving you errors

go to the event log and look for all error with bold text, click on it and that will probable tell what application is causing the errors, or you can copy the event and paste it here so we can help you to figure it out
