Thread: Will the Storm 2 get the webkit browser?

.....get the webkit browser? I want to buy a Storm 2, but not if it wont get the new webkit browser.......which I heard is only gonna be usable on the 9700 currently.

Yes, I am pretty sure all devices will get it. Maybe not the original Curve but I would think most devices will have it.

Well I was listening to the Crackberry Podcast and CBKevin said that it is possible only the 9700 can get it because of the different type of processor it has and it interacts with the memory differently than all the other BB's AND it is the only current device that was shown running the webkit browser........gosh i hope this isnt true.........

I heard the same rumor that the Storm 2 will not get the webkit. All I can say is - if that happens, then bye bye BlackBerry, hello Android. I'm so sick and tired of my loyalty to Blackberry not being reciprocated and having it scorn me. This would be the last straw for me...and I'd be willing to bet a lot of other users as well. As if Storm series owners haven't been screwed over enough...

I agree with you here, if Storm devices get snubbed on this browser I will definitely be looking at the android devices when its upgrade time.

Don't believe all what your hear, all devices running OS 5.x will get the WebKit browser
