    debrand the storm 2?

    hi

    i bought a storm 2 ( 9520 ) from vodafone and had let it unlock but now when i put my belgium sim it doesnt show blackberry maps or blackberry apps world,
    after speaking vodafone they told me that it has been branded to vodafone and after unlocking it and puting a auther sim in to it it wont work any more :17:

    sow i thought maybe you guys could help me to debrand it!

    Are you having issues with connectivity?

    there is no way that device branding would stop an app from working.

    other than apps from the carriar ie VZ nav with verizon.

    are your apn settings correct?

    Most probably the problem is the device is not correctly set, there shouldn't be no problem, I had a vodafone storm before (when I was crazy enough to believe in touchscreen lol) and it worked just perfect on tmobile, if it is unlocked it should work.

    yeah doesn't make sense has to be apn settings or service books try resending them

    wel i even spook vodafone and she was not that sure but she called blackberry and told me that it has been fabrikant instalation that it only work with vodafone...
    and i cant neather go on the internet with my sim, my sim has 5 gb of free internet sow thats no problem but i only can go with wifi ...
    so i think tis is why maps and apps world doesnt work cause they need internet


    and i have that programs because when i look in to the device i see maps and apps world installed on the phone

    i have now installed a app world form blackberryos and now i have the apps buton in my menu but when i click it the message
    'data service not operational' show's

    from what you said to me sounds like issue with apn... call your carrier and ask them for the apn settings you need and make them... also verify your bis account is set up with them and have them resend your service books.


    stop calling vodafone if they are not your carrier as they cannot do anything for you.

    i just when 1 time to a vodafone store

    and i dont have blackberry interprise yet i'm now in england on vakation sow i have to wait till i go to belgium sow thats voor de bis account but my problem is that i dont even have the buttons
