Thread: Locked in Portrait Mode for SMS and MMS screens

Brand new Storm 2, finally getting used to the uber-sensitive touchscreens, and bam!! Unitl one day, whenever I'm in SMS or MMS texting (only!) I cannot switch over to landscape view. All the other menus and apps let me switch from portrait to landscape.

After some net hunting, I've seen this problem has happened before with earlier versions of the Storm, but anyone have a quick fix, or must I brave the Verizon Store??? I want my big long keyboard back!!!:Eyecrazy:

Have you tried pulling the battery?
Has the operating system been upgraded recently?
What OS are you running?
Did anything happen just prior to this happening?
Did you install any new themes, apps, programs?

Yes to the battery...no luck
The standard OS, haven't upgraded yet, 5.0.0.320. Think this may be a cure?
And as far as I can remember, I was typing in landscape, and maybe an hour later I couldn't flip it anymore, nothing significant that I can think of happened in the interim. There were no major app or theme additions in between.

You can try upgrading the OS, this may or may not fix the problem. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a feel for your setup.

Did you download any app? There could be an app you downloaded that does a stop tilt. Or won't let you turn anymore. What apps do you have installed?
