OS 5.0.0.436 for the 9520 Storm Findings & Fixes

Okay...When it rains it pours. Bring on the blizzard. Just spotted this on twitter.
OS 5.0.0.436 has just been leaked for the 9520 Storm.
The folks at Crackberry sprung the leak it looks like. Glad they were able to pitch in.

Warning: Please remember that this IS NOT an official release OS. If you wish to install this OS keep in mind that this may cause your phone to not function correctly. I haven't heard anything on this yet. And you are right, it is entirely too quiet in here tonight.

    Snagging it now.

It is a DRM build as well, so it is installing nicely.

Many thanks to who-ever leaked it.

I've updated my 9520 with all the updates as its been rolling out but it still hasn't resolved the issues with the buttons on the bottom of the touch screen.
when i press the "back" button it keeps going to "call" and it keeps double clicking at times..

Does anyone know how this can be resolved?

    thanks in advance.

Hm, how did you do the update? Was it a "clean" install with a full wipe? If not, it would be highly recommended and could be done just by following these guides:BTW, welcome to the forums and if anything is unclear, please feel free to ask, so we can guide you through!

    Hi Breiti,
Thanks for your feedback. I'm aware of the full wipe and clean installation of new SWs. I've been doing that for my Blackberry 9500 for quite some time.
But for my 9520 it seems as though the bottom buttons aren't functioning properly and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same issues or did and found a solution for it?

    Thanks...

Yeah it happens on all the OS's but its gotten better through each upgrade but it still occurs.. what worries me at this point is that it may be a hardware issue instead of a software issue...

I had 9530 and since release date a 9550. I have heard of those having issues with stiffness with the "buttons", but not issues where pressing them would elicite a different response from the one intended. My opinion...strictly opinion is that this leans more towards a hardware issue, than an OS issue.
Maybe others will chime in and you can get a more defined answer. But I have never heard of this exact issue mentioned before.

Yeah it does that too upon booting up the device the screen turns stiff and unable to press anything for a minute or so until the screen initializies.
