Hi,
Would it be possible, instead of removing a language from the 9550, to add one?
And not one that is in the default OS. (because it's a US only device) Like German, Dutch, Italian? Copy it from the 9520 maybe? Where would those files be located?

If there is an OS that comes with those languages, you can copy them from the java folder over to the 9550 OS java, then run loader.exe to load them onto phone. You would have to do a search in the java of multi-language OS for specific desired language cods with corresponding abbreviations (such as United Kingdom = _UK, English = _en, etc). :)Quote:

I tried that, copied all the files from the 9520 firmware to the 9550 directory. But not everything is working, menu's are now in the right language, but the input language is still only english. Weird!

it did show up as a menu language.

Tried a newer 9520 firmware, and copied them again (did add some new files also)
Still same problem.

I would also search for cods that have word language in them. :)

Found it!
There is some files with the whole word : Dutch/German/Italian etc in it. Those are the input languages.

I have upgraded from Storm to Storm 2 9550 and have the same problem, I wish to add Italian which is missing for some reasons. Unfortunately I don't have the old Storm with me so I have to rely on your help. Thanks!
