Can all audio go through BT stereo / headset ?

I have a 9550 that i am now using with the sam car bt stero and bt headset.

Now that i use the storm (with the341 hybrid), when i listen to music, sms, bbm, IM+, MSN, etc, send audio to the device speaker, and the music stops !!

is this normal 5.0 behavior ?

On my bold with 5.0.0.238 (and 314 and 348), all audio went to the BT stereo/headset, and music played nonstop

NO way to change it, to, like... the bold ?

it really sucks to have music STOP each time i get an sms, msn, bbm, etc, and closing them kinda beats the purpose of having this kind of device

I think its because this is a CDMA device and the bold was a gsm device correct? who is your carrier?

what ? beeing CDMA or GSM makes any diference about the bluetooth ? :P

its a verizon 9550, its unlocked and working on Movistar Argentina (soon will change to Personal, i had the bold on movistar, their slow EDGE with GPRS (or lower) speeds didnt bother me because of the 3G, but now i must march to greener pastures :P

I believe what you're experiencing is standard behavior. An audio alert of any kind will always interrupt any other audio playback (device speaker, headphones bluetooth audio, etc.) unless you set your sound scheme to Vibrate Only, Silent or All Alerts Off.

im 100% sure it was not like this on my bold.

maybe it was like his on 4.6, which i never used ? on the mentioned 5.0 builds, it was not

i tested with the storm speaker only, and it does the same.

i will have to create a "music" profile, with no audio for notifications :P

Because on a CDMA network voice/data are not possible at the same time, the phone is set to shut down any audio playing when recieving an alert. Or at least this was explained to me this way, but you will not be able to have music and notifications, for steady music you must set ti silent

i have CDMA disabled and i am using edge only, we dont have CDMA carriers here.

if i go to europe, and use 3g, will i get music + notif at the same time ?

pd: if i had bought a 9520 which is GSM only, would i experience the same "problem" ?

doesnt matter if its disabled its the phone. you bought a CDMA version of the phone, and I dont know if you would or not.

ok, so i gained new knowledge :P

    1) dont buy CDMA devices, cause notifications (even if they are unrelated to voice) incoherently interrupt music

    2) dont but verizon, cause they lock the AGPS (except for verizon navigator or bb maps, both of which have no maps for argentina :P )

    i love the phone nonetheless
