I think it just wants you to activate it with verizon as well. I don't know how to get rid of that screen the simple way, but probably de-branding would be one of your options. De-branding is illegal and requires special software, but it gets rid of everything vzw related.

Let me do a little research and will see if there's a simp;er way to get rid of that screen.

Thats odd, because the second line is the code that tells the device it needs to be activated.

I sincerely hope it does! I just bought a new unlocked Storm2 from Verizon off eBay, waiting for it to arrive. I'm sure I'll need to do as mentioned by bbcrackman to get that screen off my BB.

would debranding make the verizon "limitation" to only have a-gps on their app and not in googlemaps, go away ?

i had a 9000,that i paid my carrier the for the unlock (and early termination fee), and then i debranded it for fun, but i think the same methods are not available for the 9550 (debranding here in Argentina is not ilegal, as far as i know)

Quick question regarding unlocked device. I was a fortunate recipient of a free unlock code for my S1 via the BBOS GOD and community. Is there anyway to transfer or gain the same for my S2?

Probably not with out buying one. They are not like apps. You have to have one for each phone you have.

as far as i know, if you dont want to use the CDMA part, you can input anything in the 2nd line, and your number in the first one.

If you are not using the CDMA frequency of your device all you have to do is put in your country code in the the second line and you can put your number in the 1st line and that will remove the "Activation Required". The number in the first line is a code for activation required.
