Thread: bbm 5 installed

Just upgraded....installed Bbm 5 and it shows in addon alps but cannot find it anywhere on phone to interact with. Not hidden. Checked all folders. Deleted and restarted and reinstalled. Batt pull and still nothing. It worked lastnight....rebooted via meterberry this am and its gone. Any thoughts?

do you have just 5.0 installed or does it show bbm 4.7 as well? And go under appworld and make sure it doesnt say archived

Only 5.....not archived either.

Do you have an instant message folder or have you checked your other folders?

Also is it version 5.0.0.33 or 5.0.0.08? It needs to be .33 version.

Checked all of them...nothing.

Double check what the previous poster said make sure its 5.0.0.33 and then also try resending your service boooks

Done all that....think reinstalling 4 and then 5 over it?

what version do you have? 5.0.0.8 or 5.0.0.33

Try a battery pull.

Use BBSAK or Blackberry Master control program to remove the related COD's. Then download from app world and reinstall. Another good idea would be to upgrade your os from 323 to the official 328, that could be causing it.

Ok.....no internet to laptop as I am on a base right now.....any other thoughts? Have bbsak and dm on laptop but only os on it is 9530 328 official.

didnt realize you had a storm 2 your info says 9530 still. The 9530 os will not work on a s2. But everything else I said should work.

ok...wiped phone and reinstalled 320 (for S2....sorry for not specifying).......did leave off bbm from the reinstall and will report back.

Its there now....just concerned about using meterberry for reseting since last time it went wacky. Thanks all!

Holy crap this S2 must hate me....got it all running and then WHAM....523 Error code. can't get DM to play with it, no BBSAK, apploader just gets stuck half way across and I cannot get it into safe mode. Help would be great since I am at wits end and really do not want to have to go back to Verizon and deal with them for a fix or swap!
