Thread: Question about BBM 5.0

So, I added a new email address to my BB and synced the new email account contract list with my BB contact list and it worked just fine.

Here's the issue, once I did that, I lost all of the picture avatars for my BBM contacts. One more thing, I had those pics synced with their individual Facebook accounts. I went into my FB and changed the old email addy with the new one, but still no avatar pics.

Any ideas?

Usually avatars come in a while. I would may be just try keeping the old email address for back up and deactivate all other ones in bbm. Just a thought. As far as Facebook, I believe you would have to re sync them.

And, how do you re-sync them?

The only way I know how to sync the contacts with FB is actually quite annoying if you ask me but this is the only way I know. Open FB then click on your friends list once you find the contact in your fb hit bb menu key and link to blackberry contact and then select the contact from your BB Contacts. You have to do it for each individual contact. If their is a faster way please someone tell me thanks..

You should be able to go into settings and select "link blackberry contacts" right? Also go into facebook settings on your PC and allow the 'facebook for blackberry smartphones'

I don't use Facebook so don't know exactly how. Sorry

Okay...not sure why, but syncing my BB contacts with my new email screwed up a lot of stuff. Ended up restoring my BB to a couple of days ago.
