Thread: Storm 2

I've never touched a storm 2 till it arrived today and i'm super impressed.

Side by side with my s1, it looks like a way more expensive device, looks way better built and just sleeker.

It's MUCH snappier than my storm 1 with the latest 5.0 os.

I have just loaded up a ton of apps and it's running just as smooth.

Typing only took me about 5 mintues to get used to and now i can fly twice as fast than my storm 1.

I'm very satisfied so far and will update as I go, I'm also activated on a BES

And my gmail app works now too

Yep, I think I'm gonna get one as soon as the S1 upgrade promo starts. F the Droid! I'm stickin to my Berries!

I didn't think I would see a huge difference but I do and the S2 owns the S1

Totally agree...the S2 is just an all-around better device than the S1

LOL! That is exactly what it sounds like - an electric razor! Or a vibrator, depending on your persuasion!

All in all, I am liking the softer, more crunchy screen as well. No more having to apply 300 square foot pounds of pressure on the corners anymore.

I have had mine for about 11 hours now... about time for a leak, me thinks!

I tried the Motorola Droid today. I can honestly say that for my needs I really like the Storm 2 much better. To me it's much more intuitive...

I just got off the phone after emailing VZW and they are upgrading me early. I have only had my phone since Feb and they are giving me the upgrade!
Now I just have to sell the Storm 1 to pay for it :17:
Can't wait until Mon or Tue.
On another note, why all the Droid posts in a Blackberry forum/website.
It is frustraing to read all the people claiming how the Droid is so much better than the Storm on a Blackberrry website. My 2 cents.

What? The new vibration is AWESOME!!! To each his own, i guess

And I still have the Storm 1 on the charging dock so I can just swap batteries when one dies = score!

Getting a replacement one already... Someone ways gets a bad one. Not upset, loving this S2!!

I'm like 24 hours with my S2 and I really like it. I tried not to be BB bias and look at all devices but in the end the email reliability coupled with the feeling of this is what I wanted all along makes me happy I went with S2

Check out cashforberrys.com I kept the battery from my S1 and they still gave me $170. With that my S2 cost $9. And I have a second battery.

Hey Kermitt4212, did u have to send in your 8 gb mem card as well?

They are quoting $150 now. I just sold my Storm 1. I love my Storm 2

is that with mem card, ac adapter, usb adapter?

Can anyone explain the "Proximity Sensor" and how it works? I thought i knew what it was, but when I pull the phone away from my face the screen does not come back on. Any ideas?

Kermitt, do you think they are pretty reliable? I sold mine with the battery for $150. What about the memory card? Do I have to send that with it?
