I HATE the standard BB browser but I haven't installed an alternative yet. I've used Opera before but am wondering how many of you are using the new Opera beta on the S2 and how it works?
Opera mini 4.2 :banana: with wifi :p
I use Opera 5 and Bolt with wifi. I only use the BB browser to install OTA's
Jl how did u get opera 5 to work? I tried it and it froze my phone up.

Im looking for an alternative for the native browser as well. I have heard good things about both bolt and opera, but not sure which to go with.
You might like the Opera 5, you can have the first screen just be your bookmarks, something like a speed dial.Quote:

Thanks is there any special setting to make it work right for the s2? I really like the thumbnail-speed dial. I might try this out. I heard some people cant get it to work right on their phone though.

Same here. In fact, my S2 is not particularly happy with Opera 4.2 or Bolt, either. Dunno what the issue is. Opera 5 runs great on my Tour.Quote:

When I had it installed you couldnt get that far on the S2.. As soon as you opened the program it would go to the white screen and freeze there.. I could get out of the program but I could not close it.Quote:

If you have Opera 5 here's what to do. You may have to delete it and reinstall it for good measure. When it installs it should give you a blank page when loading. Exit the program at the point. Now using one of your Twitter apps, I use SS, click on any link in twitter and you will be prompted with "open in Opera" click that and voila should work fine.Quote:
