Im looking for an alternative for the native browser as well. I have heard good things about both bolt and opera, but not sure which to go with.
You might like the Opera 5, you can have the first screen just be your bookmarks, something like a speed dial.
You can see more about it here:Opera Mini | The most popular mobile phone browser in the world
Thanks is there any special setting to make it work right for the s2? I really like the thumbnail-speed dial. I might try this out. I heard some people cant get it to work right on their phone though.
I'm on the Storm 1, so I'm sorry that I can't answer that question.:(

You may need to change the default settings in Opera 5 beta to get it to work properly (and not freeze up).
To do this:
- In Opera 5, press the Wrench icon in the lower right corner
- Press 'Settings'
- Press 'Advanced'
- Press 'Protocol'
- Change the selection from 'Socket' to 'HTTP'
- Press 'Back' or the Escape key until you get back to the Speed Dial page
- Enjoy browsing
I've never had these problems with S2, what do you people keep doing to your phones!
Here is a fine quote and one I lived by when I owned all my BlackBerrys
Quote:
"...keeping in mind the very nature of the Storm, the only consistent feature of the device, is that the power dies when you remove the battery."
I've got the opera 5 on my S2 and it works fine.

If you have Opera 5 here's what to do. You may have to delete it and reinstall it for good measure. When it installs it should give you a blank page when loading. Exit the program at the point. Now using one of your Twitter apps, I use SS, click on any link in twitter and you will be prompted with "open in Opera" click that and voila should work fine.
The first time you run 5.0 beta, it just takes forever. It will appear frozen, and after a considerable amount of time (>5 minutes) an error will appear "Unable to load EULA". At this point, exit the program and load it again. This time, it will work. This only needs to be done the first time you run the app.
