Thread: What Do You Think of your Storm 2?

Since its been a good week since the Storm 2 has been released, I am curious to know whether you are satisfied with the device or not. I chose a poll as this will help quantify results and give those who are still on the fence some help in making a decision.

I am with you J.. I am happy with the new storm.. its a wonderful phone and makes me love BB all over again.. yea sure things still need spruced up (browser) but over all this phone is probably 8.5 out of 10. only thing it needs for me is better browser. I have heard of others having problems but hey I am not.

I agree with your 8.5 out of 10 ranking. A better browser would have given it a 9 in my book but overall this is the best BB I have owned and a vast improvement over the first iteration of the Storm

I love my storm2, i think the best blackberry that i ever had... hands down.

I absolutely love my storm2. Even looking at vzw site, storm2 is getting really good ratings...way better than original storm. :banana:

Right there with ya!!!! I'm lovin' my Storm2!!

So far it is great - Once in a while it will freeze up and I have had one random reboot, but overall this is the best blackberry EVER.

I give it an 8. Its a great improvement but i would like some more options..Like a sharper camera (current one is good), faster browser, shorter boot up time(better than S1 though), more options for home screen (something similar to Droid), a bigger screen(a lil bit), more interesting apps like the voice recorded google search..an app like that is good when you're away from home. Just say something like .."pizza" and the phone actually locates shops (phone number and directions) according to your location..Overall, I am satisfied w/S2 and Droid will have to seriously convince me b4 I convert over. Just IMHO of course

Overall the S2 is really amazing. Def. multiple steps above the original. My particular model seems to have a stiffer screen than the one I played with in the store. It as fine the first week, now it's acting up..hmmm weird.

Love my Storm2 !!! Just if we had a fix (leak/hybrid) that would allow BerryWeather icon to update....otherwise perfect!!! ( I'm sure it's perfect-to-be )...

I've been trying to find errors or problems. What are you doing when it freezes up?? I'm just curious.

Still the same specs as the storm 1. With the improving of the screen, wi-fi, and more app mem, otherwise same ui and set up! I wonder when is the the s3 mr t. is coming thru...

Rumour has it that the S3 will be appearing as soon as 4G becomes available for VZW. This is just rumour though.

Prince, bing will do that for you on the storm so we have one down and a few more to go stay tunned and you wishes shall be granted

I personally love my Storm 2, was flirting with the idea of possibly getting the Droid but I'm too much of an addict.
Storm 2 - 8.5 sounds about right.

What I dont get is why upgrade to a storm 2 if it still doesnt work on north american UMTS/HSPA 850/1900Mhz? Even the 9520 doesnt support these frequencies. Ill wait for the S3

It's a restriction of the CDMA technology. VZW phones can only use CDMA in the states and UMTS overseas. But that being said, I will take CDMA over GSM any day, until LTE is released

Loving it, what the S1 should have been

Ordered mine on the first day and I've been very happy with it. This is my first blackberry and other than the browser needing to be updated, I haven't had any issues. I'd also give it a 8.5 out of 10
