Question The Price of the Q10 - too high?

I am really excited about the Q10. Even though I do love the Z10 and have nothing negative to say about it (it is AWESOME) I am really missing the physical keyboard. I have taken out the Z10 on a contract with O2 but do want to buy the Q10 outright but I'm finding the price a bit too steep. The phone looks amazing and I'm sure it is amazing but does anyone else think that the price tag is maybe a bit too much?

What kind of price are you talking about? You can purchase the Z10 off contract for various prices depending on location.

You may want to consider waiting a few weeks after the Q10 releases and buying used. That's if you are strapped for cash.

They are stating around £530, sim free. I may just do what you have suggested and wait. I just don't fancy getting another 24month contract.
Hope I don't come across negative towards the BlackBerry Q1010. I'm just very eager. Lol

Haha nahh you don't come off as negative. I personally think that's pretty standard for high-end devices, and the Q10 is a high-end phone.

You're right. Must admit that I'm a tad bit excited for the release of this phone.

Hi the price of Z10. And Q10 are high, you should get it cheaper, find a retailer who needs sales for monthly target, I bought Z10 sim free with discount on day two, when
Selling on contract only, same will happen with Q10, you are not being negative, it's a good phone but it's up against. I phone / Samsung Galaxy,
at similar price, and once BlackBerry loyalists have purchased, the price will drop, the problem is people think of old BlackBerry phones and they are for business users,
It is going to be hard to convince people to leave their present systems, time for BlackBerry to give a date for playbook. Update to BB 10. And keep to it, same with certain apps
For Z10, may be it will take the same time as updates to playbook so far, four years a collectors item.

I have spoken to O2 about the Q10 and i have agreed with them to take it out on contract when it is released. My partner has said he will take over the Z10 Contract and dump his iPhone. Yay!

How much is that in Pounds? I have been reading more about the specs and think it is worth it. Excited about its battery life.

Can I not just buy it from Canada? That is so much cheaper for to buy it outright.
Is it not release date yet? I'm growing so impatient!

Hi Canadian version will be different 4G frequencies. As will US version, plus customs etc, carphone. Have Q10 price. £580. ( $883 ) about. £100 dearer than Z10.
At that difference. A physical keyboard would have to be the reason to buy Q10 over Z10. If Q10 is in demand price will stay high, good luck.

Q10 now on pre order with a playbook thrown in free, sad to see a brilliant tablet given away, if a new tablet is released will it be given away also?.

the Q10 on a 3 year term through sasktel is 200, which i think is a little high. THe Z10 on launch day was 150, but it has already dropped 50 bucks on some other service providers

Q10 is really very expensive. BlackBerry has recently launched Q5 with BB10. It's a low-cost device but available only in selected regions around the world. Surely, it will not give the complete charm of Q10, but may be near to it.
