They have said they will continue to support BB10. I'm assuming that means current devices running the OS will be supported and updated. But for future devices, that is yet to be determined.
Okay, so here's another question, which may seem a bit stupid, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Would it be possible, in theory, to buy a PRIV, wipe it out and install BB10 on it? I ask this because I really, really dislike Android and iOS. They have pretty much sold their souls to the NSA on backdoor access to our person data, however trite.
I don't believe so, but we'll have to see what the BB dev community does with the device. I know that parts of the Android OS were able to run on the PlayBook tablet.
But that is the big question, right? Can BlackBerry make Android secure using their experience in privacy and security. DTEK is suppose to monitor your device for any type of tampering, malware apps, ect. Plus each device has it's own PIN injected into the hardware. So that adds a level of security already that no other Android device has.
I might, I have to wait and see in about 6 months where everything falls out.
Well, the price is still a bit high. I would love to buy one if the price goes down to 450$
