    PlayBook will not charge

Hello everyone my BlackBerry device will not take a charge. It is not recognized when I plug it into my computer. I am wondering if the micro plug may be damaged?? The unit is only six months old. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Have you tried a different charger?

My blade charger barely works anymore. If you have no luck with a different charger I'd say a possible hardware issue

I had similar problem it was a loose wire in the micro usb end of charger caused by me using playbook with charger plugged in. They are quite delicate where the wire joins the usb plug.

Yeah, after awhile they start to feel loose inside the micro USB port.

Yes I tried a different charger, waiting to get the rapid charger to see if that works.

I have that problem too. It will backup, but won't media sync, charge from a USB port, or allow me to download music files from my PC. I have tried 3 different cables with no success.

Hi, all USB ports are fragile and some will fail early, but Blackberry had a good idea on playbook ( since copied on surface tablet, but palm had magnetic charger first )
i have used Blackberry fast charger with magnetic connector for two years, so no USB damage, they can be found on Amazon for less than £20/ $30 use to be £60/$90,
the rapid charger uses a different charging system, output 12v/2Amp the original is 5v/2Amp, so if USB is faulty this should save your playbook,
as for data transfer use Wi Fi / computer link if USB port damaged, hope this helps.
